NY Dream Act One-on-One Sessions Until August 17, 2021
The New York State Youth Leadership Council is happy to announce One on One sessions for people who need support applying to the New York Dream Act. Appointments can be made on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4pm - 6pm. Appointments can be scheduled by emailing nyda@nyslc.org.
Appointments run until August 17th, 2021. Space is limited so hurry and sign up!
Apply for NYSYLC's Undocu-Hustle Grant by August 14, 2021
The goal of the NYSYLC Undocu-Hustle Grant is to provide undocumented immigrant entrepreneurs, who are current or aspiring business owners, with funding that will help them achieve their business goals. The maximum amount of funding that will be awarded per business is $1,000.

Teach Dream, the educator team of the NYS Youth Leadership Council is having their annual New Member Workshop Series! This 4-part orientation will introduce you to our work and principals, advocating with and for our undocumented students. Participating in our workshop series is the first step to joining our work. If you are interested please fill out an interest form to register.
Apply to Youth Empowerment Program 2021 by July 16
Are you an immigrant youth ready to get active in your communities? Do you want to learn more about how to change issues that affect you and your community? Then register for NYSYLC's Youth Empowerment Program this summer! This free program will run this summer from August 3 to August 20, 2021.
Apply for the NYS Excluded Workers Fund
This fund will provide a one-time payment for help with income that was lost between March 27, 2020 to April 1, 2021.

We figured out college applications, scholarships, while connecting to other undocumented seniors. I shared more about my experience here. If you are an undocumented NYC High School Junior or Senior looking for support through all those hard decisions you should apply and join the Academy.

Email your State Senator and Assemblymember to ask them to support the bill.

The Undocu-Academy is a closed community group for New York City Undocumented High School youth.The Academy provides a space for youth to build community, learn from peers, and connect with community members. Through these spaces, the Academy promotes self-expression, self-advocacy, educational advancement, and leadership development.
