RAISE and the NYSYLC are hosting "Words On Your Mind: OpenMic Series" - an event where we will gather to share poems, stories, musical performances, etc. in a space that is designed to be open, welcoming and caring.

This will be a two-part, two hour event! At 6pm, join us for a discussion on mental health within our undocumented communities, for the undocumented, facilitated by undocumented women, and with a 15 person cap! Then at 7pm join us for the Open Mic, open to everyone, where you are encouraged to share the good, the bad, the stress, the issues of identity that come up in our lives, the stuff that "doesn't seem like a big deal," the stuff that feels like too big a deal, we're all here to hear it!

Join us on any (or all) of the following dates to talk about the mental health issues that are so often not talked about! Then share your art with us, or just listen to someone else's art in a space created to discuss, and understand our daily struggles!

Everyone who comes to this event is highly encouraged to participate in the Open Mic! There is a strong preference for undocumented/ immigrant stories, but all other stories are welcome!

CLARIFICATION: the Open Mic welcomes everyone, but the discussion is for the undocumented, facilitated by undocumented women, and with a 15 person cap! So please RSVP!

We are asking that folks who want to participate in the discussion on Mental Health within Undocumented communities to please RSVP through the Google Form link: http://goo.gl/forms/wVbW2aMnXP

And RSVP on this page to let us know you'll be there for the Open Mic!
