Youth Rise Up!: Training for high school youth!

Do you want to fight for undocumented youth rights? 
Do you want to be an agent of change in your school?
Are you looking to build community with other peers who have been impacted by immigration policies?
Join us for a training on political education, story sharing, community and collective healing!

NYS Youth Leadership Council and Teachdream, now with support of The New School DREAM Team, are hosting for a 2nd year Youth Rise Up! Training for High School Youth, designed specifically for high school aged youth, regardless of their immigration status, and their educators. In this one-day training we will discuss current issues affecting immigrant students, story sharing and collective healing practices. Our vision is that both students and educators will become agents of change and create supportive spaces for undocumented youth in their schools and beyond!

When: Saturday, November 21st from 10:30am-5pm
Where:The New School, University Center (63 Fifth Ave) Room: UL102 Starr Foundation Hall
Who: All high school aged youth regardless or their immigration status who want to share a space with other immigrant youth for story sharing, organizing, community building and hold discussion about healing and their educators committed to supporting their undocumented students.

Highlights:
- Morning snacks and Lunch will be served.
- Open Mic following the training starting at 3pm!
- Resource packet for youth regardless of their immigration status.
