The American Immigration Lawyers’ Association-NY Urges Governor Cuomo to Support NY Dream Act

In the past weeks, undocumented youth across New York City have been urging Governor Andrew Cuomo to include the New York Dream Act in the executive budget. We have delivered petitions to his office and called non-stop. The New York Dream Act was first introduced in 2011. A bill that would provide immigrant students in New York equal access to tuition assistance programs should not take this long to pass! Especially for New York, a state with a long history of immigration. We must do better. The American Immigration Lawyers’ Association – New York Chapter, wrote a letter of support, urging the Governor to support the New York Dream Act.
